A Rebel is brought to Jahangir outside Akbar's Tomb at Sikandra, Mughal, c.1618-20. This is one of the very few earlier Mughal paintings where it is possible to recognize an extant Mughal building. In April 1606 Jahangir rode out from Agra towards Akbar's tomb at Sikandra to try to apprehend his rebellious son Khusraw and his allies. Here one one of the rebels Mirza Hasan is depicted being brought bound before the victorious emperor. The tomb was not acutally finished until 1613 making its depiction here something of an anachrnism.
