The revolutionaries who played an active role in the freedom struggle were Bhagat Singh, Chandra Shekhar Azad, Ajit Singh and Rash Behari Bose. Mahatma Gandhi, Sardar Patel and Jawaharlal Nehru spearheaded the Gandhian era.
